For whatever reason, this year, my heart just isn't completely in this A-Z Challenge.
I have skipped letters/days which has not happened the previous two years I've participated.
I just haven't had the time to sit and visit all of the other 1,000 blogs that are participating.
I've had next to no traffic brought in this year, either, which is disappointing as I visited over 100 blogs and commented on them. But I realize that not everyone has time to go running around to other blogs and return the love.
Because I haven't had the time to visit more and return some people's comment love.
Normally I would just push through, but I never got the last week or so of my posts written. All the previous posts had been written in advance, for the most part. If the rest of my posts were already written, I'd just continue to post them. But since they're not, they won't be written.
Next week I shall return to my regular blogging.
As long as I don't lose my blogging mojo in the meantime.

For those that did stop by from the A-Z Challenge, thank you. I will try to get to your blogs if I haven't already.
Honestly, I didn't think you missed any... but then again, I've followed Al Penwasser's attempt as a guide, and I'm not sure he knows all the letters.
ReplyDeleteAnd you did a great job, IMHO. You can only worry about the traffic so much. I think there's probably a section of blog readers that eye-roll whenever the subject of "A to Z" comes up and just say, "tune in next week". Kinda like when I do my hockey updates. But y'know, sometimes it IS about me, so read or don't. That's my take on the subject.
So if you wanna keep posting, I'll keep reading.
Haha, yeah, I missed like 3 or 4 letters. Oh well. I've just been busy and blogging has just kind of fallen by the wayside. Especially the 6 days a week blogging! lol
DeleteDon't give up, just keep persisting!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first time with the challenge & I am loving it. You see like you have a lot to write about. Keep at it and do not worry about whether or not people comment on your page. Write your blog for yourself!

Thanks for stopping by. If there were more hours in the day, I'd consider keeping going with it, but as it stands, it took me 4 days just to get on here to reply to comments. lol
DeleteIt can definitely be a bit much/disheartening, I hit a really similar point last year. I'm not sure what's driving traffic and comments, but I'm looking for that magic formula. I think your reasons are sound, and I hope your blogging mojo is waiting for you ^_^

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. :o)
DeleteAww, this makes me sad. I actually haven't looked at that many different blogs either. But I do like your title, pictures and introduction, so I hope that you do return to "regular" blogging.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I shall return to my "normal" blogging. Sometimes I swear there just isn't enough hours in a day. Thanks for stopping by. :o)
DeleteSometimes we have to sit back and realise something isn't working for us. After four years of NaNoWriMo, I've decided it just isn't useful to me right now, pulling me more away from writing than towards it. I've never felt freer.

I've never tried NaNoWriMo, but I know other bloggers who have, and even my best friend. She tried telling me all about it and I was like, "um, I've known about it for years". lol
DeleteI can't say I came over for the A-Z challenge. I originally found your blog through the Wednesday Hodgepodge, and yours quickly became one of the ones that I regularly went to to read responses. I haven't participated in the 'podge for a month or so due to personal reasons, but today once I posted I immediately clicked over here to see where you stood on things like life on other planets, baseball, and chick flicks. I can't remember if I've commented before (I feel like I have!) but wanted to say hang in there! We all have those times. I've gone 9 months or longer with out posting a word on my site, and never really cared about traffic as it was more a venting venue for me than a way for me to speak to the world. But I've enjoyed the new blogs I've found through link parties, yours included. Keep smiling, Charlie Brown! It's noticed when you're not around! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope still do the Hodgepodge, even if I can't get to it every week. I'm pretty sure you've commented before. :o) Thanks for popping over!
DeleteAww that's a shame but I suppose if you're not happy then there's no point continuing it
ReplyDeleteI wasn't too into it from the get-go this year, and I don't know why. Hopefully next year I'll be back in the A-Z groove. :o)
