April Blog Challenge: X is for Uh . . . well . . .

Yeah . . . I had nothing for this one. This is one of the hardest letters to come with up anything. So, I Googled words that start with X. I'll share a few of those with you.

Xenophobia (n) - fear or hatred towards foreigners, foreign countries, or anything foreign.

Xanadu (n) - an exotic, luxurious place. This word comes from the poem "Kubla Khan" by Samuel T. Coleridge.

Xhosa (n) -Xhosa is the name of the Bantu language, and a name for a member of the Bantu people of South Africa.

Xenon (n) - a heavy, colorless and odorless gas that is found in very small quantities in the Earth’s atmosphere. It is often used in lasers, vacuum tubes and luminescent tubes for electric lamps.

So, now you can say you learned something new today.

You're welcome. ;o)

  2. So, it could be plausible that a Xenon salesman, who only spoke Zhosa, was thrown out of Xanadu because the people there had Xenophobia?

I would say that I'd make a mental note of this, but honestly, I can't even remember what I had for lunch. But it was worth the giggle. :)
